The park was created in the early 1980s and is located along the northern bank of the Bow River in the northwest part of Calgary. Occupying 164 hectares, Bowmont has an abundance of features to offer its visitors including hiking trails, picnic tables, and designated off-leash areas. The geological history of the city is also on display, visible on a steep cliff face in the park.
